Your Tennis Racket
If there were anything that was of primary and utmost importance to playing the game of tennis, it would be the tennis racket. Okay, come to think of it, you can’t really shrink the most important item down to just one item as a tennis racket without a tennis ball is pretty useless unless you are using it to beat someone over the head with it. (Not that it is recommended) At least with the tennis ball you can play catch without the racket, but if you want to play tennis, the racket and the ball pretty much go hand in hand.
So, would it not be wise to take proper care of the tennis racket instead of be neglectful towards it so that it falls into disarray and down the lane of damaged goods? Sure, this seems like a no brainer, but the number of people who ruin rackets by sheer neglect is fairly voluminous.
The most common way people are neglectful is not putting the tennis racket away after one is done playing a game. As dopey as it sounds, people will leave a racket outside and assume that the weather will stay nice and pretty and no harm will befall the racket. Needless to say, the occasional rainstorm will usually end up destroying a racket that was left to the elements unattended.
Also, when one brings the tennis racket indoors and out of the bad weather, there still exists the possibility of damage occurring indoors. This is usually the result of abrasions that occur when one does not put the racket back into its sleeve and put it away. There is even the dangers of having one’s pet decide they want to have a little fun with the tennis racket, too. A St. Bernard can do some fairly brutal damage to ye olde tennis racket so keep Fido away from it, okay.
Keep the racket indoors, in its sleeves, and properly put away and secured and a ton of damage will be easily circumvented.
